The All-American Slurp

In the story,All-American slurp. The narrator thinks that she would never fit in in America. But,she eventually
became more Americanized in the following months. She has similarities and differences from the kids in S.O.R losers. They don't care about how they look,or how they play soccer. The narrator,on the other hand, really cares what people think about her.The kids in S.O.R losers don't like people pushing them to do something.Neither does the narrator in The all American Slurp. They assume that when people lose they want to make somebody else win to forget what they lost. Now you can tell the differences between the  Narrator in All American Slurp and S.O.R Losers.

"The All-American Slurp" and "S.O.R Losers" Comparison

In the two stories "The All-American Slurp" and "S.O.R Losers both kids are totally opposite. In the story "The All-American Slurp" the narrator cares very much of how different she is from other people. She came from China and she tries her best to act like Americans in America. Except in the story "S.O.R Losers" the kids in the story don't care what other people think. Everyone is pushing them to win the last game in the soccer team and the kids don't care if  they win or lose. They think that since the other people lost all the other games who cares if they lose. So they didn't care about what the other people said. In my opinion I think it is better not to think of what other people say. Just do it in your own way. Except in this situation both kids in these stories are wrong. First of all you shouldn't think about what other people say like the narrator of the story "The All-American Slurp" did. You should think of what you think is best unless it is wrong and you know it. Second of all in the story  "S.O.R Losers" actually kind of did think of what other people do. Since they thought losing was no big deal because everyone else lost it means that they thought about what other people did. In the end you can tell that both kids in both stories thought about what other people did and said.

S.O.R Losers by Yusuf Kose

In the story S.O.R Losers, I think the boys in the team are being sore losers. They lost every game(except the last one which they didn't play yet) in the season act like they don't care. Even if they didn't care, they should practice more a try to actually win. They say there good at other stuff and not good at sports so they don't try. Well how do you be good at something without practice. I think this is a negative trait and they are being foolish.  The boys in the team are sore losers.

Everyone thinks that the S.O.R Losers should win and that they will feel bad if they lose.  However, the team members don't feel the same way.  They are not afraid to state their opinions even when everyone else thinks they are wrong.  Do you think this is a positive or negative trait?  Do you think they are being brave by sticking to their ideals or do you think they are being foolish and stubborn by not listening to what everyone else has to say?  State your opinion and support it with examples in your own life
